Carcharias taurus or the sand tiger shark, wreck denizens of North Carolina are a docile and often lethargic shark species that are found in great abundance on the shipwrecks off the coast. Mike has been diving the wrecks of the Outer Banks on and off for more then ten years and photographing the resident sand tigers for the past four. One look at the images in this gallery and you will see that the sand tiger is Mike's favorite subject to shoot.
