Truk Lagoon is a large island atoll within the Federated States of Micronesia in the Pacific Ocean. Also know as the state of Chuuk , 'Truk' was the scene of a massive United States air assault during WWII when the Japanese Imperial forces occupied the region.

As a result of this raid more than 4 dozen Japanese ships were sunk within the lagoon creating the worlds most amazing wreck diving locale. Intact ships with abundant artifacts draw the history buffs to Truk Lagoon to see these relics of war up close and personal. In addition, the prolific marine life that inhabits and adorns these wrecks is an equally big draw for sport divers to Truk Lagoon.

Mike is presently the captain of the Truk Odyssey and continues to shoot video and still images of the famed wrecks of Truk. Please join Mike on one of his photo expeditions. Details in the travel page of this web site.
